An exhibition of 23 selected photographs by Jim Gillies will open on January 13 and run thru to March 11 2015 at the City of Hollywood, City Hall 2nd floor, 2600 Hollywood Blvd. in Hollywood Florida. The show specifically features images of the dogs at Dog Beach. The photographs vary in size from 12 x 15, 24 x 24, and 20 x 30 in. To see some of the photographs in the show click here.
Formed in 2006 the Dog Beach is one of those one of a kind places in Florida. On weekends a designated area of the beach belongs to the dogs and their owners for them to enjoy. Operated year-round for just a few hours on Friday, Saturday, and Sundays the beach is monitored by a park ranger.
